What we collect

• Email — when you sign up to the newsletter, we pass your email to beehiiv (our delivery provider) and store it there. We don't sell, share, or rent your email.
• Submissions — when you send a tip, event, or photo, we store the content plus an optional name and email until the submission is reviewed.
• IP hash — for rate-limiting submissions, we hash your IP with a salt. We don't store the raw IP.
• Open / click data — beehiiv collects open and click data per issue. We use it to know which issues are working.

What we don't collect

• Third-party trackers, ad pixels, or "your data is the product" tooling. The site has no Google Analytics, Meta pixel, or similar.
• Public comments — we don't run a comment system.

Retention

Rejected or archived submissions are auto-deleted after 90 days. Subscriber emails persist until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete.
